Experience:
In my first market, I started as a dayside reporter covering general assignment stories like crime, weather and community issues.
After a year, I was promoted to nightside reporter and fill-in anchor for WCCU Fox Illinois and WICS ABC Newschannel 20.
I also helped launch a bi-weekly series called "Addicted Illinois" that focuses on tackling the opioid crisis in our state.
I have covered national stories like the Aurora mass shooting near Chicago and the murder trial of the University of Illinois Chinese scholar Yingying Zhang.
I am also working on a continuing investigation into toxic "forever chemicals" in the water at a former air force base in Rantoul.
In college, I covered other large scale events like the 2016 NFL Draft, the 2017 Presidential Inauguration in Washington D.C. and the Women's March in D.C.
